There's a new movie in town called Limitless starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro. Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) plays a writer who's experiencing chronic writer's block until he was introduced to an untested drug that enables him to use 100% of his brain.
I don't know the technicalities behind it but I think it's like being able to use the left and the right hemispheres of your brain at the same time. So in short he used it and his life changed drastically. But it has its setbacks since there are people who will go to any means just to acquire the drug that he's using. Here's the trailer.
